The IMIM is a registered Non-Profit Charitable Company (ACN 121 705 271) limited by guarantee. It is administered by a Board of Directors and is fully compliant with the requirements as stipulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Peter Roberts (see www.robertsmusic.net)
Peter Roberts is the founding director of The IMIM.
In 2008 he was awarded the Annual Tattersall’s Enterprise and Achievement Award for his commitment and pioneering spirit in establishing the field of Music-Thanatology as an essential component of end of life care in Australia.
The value of Peter’s musical form of care was affirmed publicly through the findings of research conducted by Deakin University. In 2006 he was invited to jointly present the findings of that research at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in the USA.
In 2010 Peter’s story was documented on ABC TV’s Australian Story. |

Emeritus Professor Helen Cox, Dip Ed. BAppSci. MN. PhD
Helen worked at St Vincents Hospital from 1965 to 1987. After years in neurosurgery, she moved to nursing education at St Vincent’s and then Deakin.
Helen achieved a DipEd; a BAppSci; an MN; and finally a PhD with the Faculty of Medicine at Adelaide University.
Helen was Head of the School of Nursing at Deakin, Professor at Epworth and retired as Emeritus Professor in 2004.
Helen is a harpist, deeply committed to music-thanatology and to maintaining this as essential in end of life care. |

Stuart Monger, Bachelor of Business Accounting/Economics. Grad Cert Management ASCPA
Stuart graduated from Deakin University Warrnambool Business School in 1991 and has held Senior Accounting roles in a diverse range of businesses and industries across Australia.

Graham Hobbs, B.Juris LLB
Graham graduated from Monash University in 1969, and has since practiced as a lawyer in Melbourne. He and his wife Ulrike moved to Highton Geelong in 1979 where he now runs a private general legal practice.
Graham for many years has been involved in numerous community activities including community legal services,the Rotary of Club of Highton Kardinia Inc. and his wife’s veterinary practice.
Graham’s attitude to living and dying is practical and realistic, and he acknowledges the power of music in our daily lives.
Graham also enjoys travel, photography, public speaking and thoroughly supports Peter’s vision and the aims of The IMIM. |
